Mindful Protection
- Cosmetics & Chemicals: Allow perfumes, lotions, and cosmetics to dry completely before adorning yourself. Harsh chemicals can dull the surface of natural jade, organic pearls, and fine metalwork.
- Impact & Elements: Remove your pieces before strenuous activity, swimming, or entering extreme temperatures (such as saunas or hot springs). While jade is tough, it can fracture under sharp, direct impact against hard surfaces, and chlorine or saltwater will rapidly tarnish silver settings.
Cleansing & Rejuvenation
To refresh your jewelry, gently wipe the stones and beads with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Never subject Hetian jade, pearls, or mother-of-pearl accents to ultrasonic cleaners, steam, or abrasive chemical dips. If the silver components begin to naturally oxidize over time, a gentle buff with a designated jeweler’s polishing cloth will restore their bright finish.

A Colour Drawn From What It Resembles
The pale jade beads against silver form a visual reference to 竹色, bamboo's hue, one of many colours in the traditional Chinese naming system drawn directly from nature rather than assigned an abstract code. Where modern systems number their shades, this older tradition simply named a colour after the living thing it most resembled.
A Hue That Shifts Without Changing
竹色 sits in a family of pale, cool greens used historically in silk dyeing and ink painting, valued for how they read differently depending on the light around them: paler in full sun, deeper in shade, yet always recognisably itself. This same quality is why bamboo groves were prized in classical garden design, less for the plant's shape than for the particular quality of light filtered through it.
The finish of the piece carries this same quiet shift, catching the light differently depending on how it's turned. Worn on the wrist, it carries a quiet wish for a steadiness that still knows how to catch the light.

We work exclusively with traditional master carvers whose lifetimes are dedicated specifically to reading the natural veins and shaping the contours of hetian jade. Approaching their craft with a reverence that mirrors our own, they ensure the eternal spirit of the stone is preserved in every piece.

From Raw Stone To Delivery
Because we only handle hetian jade, our quality control is hyper-specialized. Every piece undergoes inspection before final packaging and delivery.
STEP 1-3
Initial Inspection
1. Artisanal Carving Check: We look for fluid lines, precise detailing, and a design that elevates the natural soul of the jade rather than fighting it.
2. Surface & Polish Inspection: Hetian jade should feel soft and warming to the touch, despite its hardness. We inspect the polish under magnification to ensure the right luster has been achieved.
3. Post-Carving Stress Test: We perform a final structural review to ensure the carving and polishing process introduced no micro-fractures or stress points into the piece.
Step 4-5
Pre-Shipping Inspection
4. Final Inspection: A senior inspector conducts one last inspection for imperfections, and verifies that the physical piece perfectly matches its accompanying documentation, pairing the jade with its official certificate of authenticity and provenance records.
5. Verification & Packaging: Finally, the jade is carefully nestled into our custom, imperial green presentation boxes. This protects the stone's polish while honoring the spiritual weight of the item inside, ensuring it arrives at your door perfectly preserved.
